FAQ
Straight answers before you call
Pricing, scheduling, turf, and hardscape — the questions we get most. If yours isn’t here, call 951-564-2960.
General
What areas do you serve?
Homeland and roughly 45 miles around it — Riverside, Menifee, Hemet, Perris, Murrieta, Temecula, Wildomar, Lake Elsinore, and Corona, plus the smaller communities in between.
Are estimates really free?
Yes. We come out, measure, check drainage and access, talk materials, and leave you a written number. No fee and no obligation.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Proof of insurance is available on request, and it’s named on your estimate.
Do you offer a veteran discount?
We do — ask when you call or note it on the estimate form and we’ll apply it to your quote.
What payment do you take?
Cash. Payment schedule is set out on the estimate — typically a deposit to schedule and the balance on completion after your walk-through.
How soon can you start?
For turf and smaller hardscape, often the same week. Larger patios and walls depend on the schedule and any permits — we’ll give you a realistic window at the estimate.
Do you take small jobs?
We focus on full lawns, patios, and multi-element yards rather than one-off repairs, but there’s no square-footage minimum. Side yards and parkways still get a real crew and a clean finish.
Who actually does the work?
Rodrigo runs every job. The person who quotes your project is the person on site building it — no hand-off to a sub you’ve never met.
Artificial & synthetic turf
How long does artificial turf last?
15–20 years with proper base and infill in this climate. UV exposure is the limiting factor, which is why turf quality and infill matter.
Does turf get hot?
Warmer than live grass in direct sun, and it cools fast in shade or with a rinse. Shorter pile and lighter infill help in full-sun yards.
Is turf good for dogs?
Yes — it’s one of the most common reasons people call. We use draining pet infill and can add an antimicrobial layer under the turf.
How do I maintain it?
Rinse occasionally, brush high-traffic lanes, keep leaves off, and top up infill once a year or so. No mowing, no watering, no fertiliser.
Patios, concrete & walls
Pavers or stamped concrete?
Pavers flex with the ground, won’t crack, and repair easily in a small area. Stamped concrete costs less up front and gives a seamless look. We’ll price both for your project.
Will my patio crack or settle?
Not if the base is right. Settling comes from a shallow or poorly compacted base; cracking in concrete is controlled with joints placed on plan. That’s where we spend the time.
Do walls need a permit?
Retaining walls above a set height, or walls carrying a load like a driveway, usually need a permit and sometimes engineering. We’ll tell you what yours needs.
Can you match my house?
We color-match stucco, integral-color concrete and block, and blend borders to existing hardscape. Bring a photo or paint chip to the estimate.
Pricing & scheduling
How is a job priced?
By scope, not a flat rate: area, how much demolition and base work the yard needs, materials you choose, and access. You get one firm written number — no ‘starting at’.
Do you price-match?
We’re not the cheapest bid and don’t try to be. If a quote is much lower, it’s usually the base work that’s missing. We’re happy to walk you through what’s in ours.
What does the deposit cover?
It reserves your spot on the schedule and covers material ordering. The balance is due on completion, after you’ve walked the finished yard with us.
Is there a warranty?
Turf carries the manufacturer’s warranty; our workmanship is warranted too. Terms are written on your estimate so nothing is vague.
