Dead patches by June, a water bill that climbs every summer, and mud where the dog runs.

Artificial Turf Installation in Homeland & the Inland Empire

Owner-run turf installs with 20 years behind them. We build the base to hold, seam the turf so you can’t find the joint, and leave you a lawn that stays green through a Riverside County August.

Overview

What a proper turf install actually involves

Most turf that fails didn’t fail at the turf. It failed at the base — not enough sub-base, not compacted, no fall for drainage — and within a year you get ripples, low spots, and standing water after a rain.

We strip the existing lawn and a few inches of soil, lay and compact a decomposed-granite or Class II base in lifts, and shape it to drain. Then the turf goes down: rolled the same direction, joined with seam tape and adhesive, fastened around the perimeter, and topped with silica infill that’s brushed in so the blades stand up.

What’s included

Every job, these four stages

Site inspection & layout

We measure the area, check where water goes today, note gate widths and slope, and mark the finished edges so you can see the shape before we start.

Base prep & compaction

Old surface removed, sub-base brought in and compacted in lifts, graded for positive drainage, weed barrier laid over the top.

Turf install & detailing

Turf rolled one direction, seams taped and glued, perimeter fastened, infill spread with a drop spreader and power-broomed in.

Cleanup & walk-through

Cut-off haul-away, hard surfaces blown down, and a final walk so you can check seams, edges, and drainage with us.

Why it lasts

Why ours stays flat

We spec turf by use, not just looks: heavier face weight and shorter pile for high-traffic and dog areas, taller pile for show lawns. All of it UV-stabilised for inland sun and backed by the manufacturer’s warranty.

Infill isn’t optional. It weights the turf down, keeps blades upright, and protects the backing from UV. For pet yards we use an infill that drains and resists odor, and we can add an antimicrobial layer under the turf.

How it goes

Three steps from call to walk-through

1

Estimate visit

Free on-site measure and materials walk-through. You get a written price and a start window.

2

Schedule & prep

We confirm a date, mark utilities, and protect access routes. Most residential lawns are a one- to two-day install.

3

Install & walk-through

Base, turf, infill, cleanup — then we walk the finished lawn with you and hand over care instructions.

Questions about artificial turf installation

How much does artificial turf cost?

Most residential lawns land in a per-square-foot range that depends on turf grade, how much demolition and base work the yard needs, and access. We give you a firm written number at the free estimate — no ‘starting at’ pricing.

How long does it last?

Good turf with proper infill and base typically performs for 15–20 years in this climate. UV is the enemy; infill and quality backing are what hold that line.

Is it hot to walk on?

It gets warmer than a live lawn in direct sun and cools quickly in shade or with a quick rinse. Lighter-colored infill and shorter pile help in full-sun yards.

Does it drain?

Yes — the backing is perforated and the base is graded to fall. Done right, a turf lawn drains faster than the compacted dirt it replaced.
